Welcome to Healthy Southern Gal! I’m a gal from the south cooking up healthy, fresh, and colorful recipes that bring joy to the heart and nourishment to the flesh! Everything here is gluten free. I also enjoy setting welcoming tables, as well as planning and hosting parties and gatherings! Hospitality is my way of loving and serving others, and expressing beauty!
My Story
I am a gal from the south and I love to serve others through food and hospitality. I have loved to cook for as long as I can remember. As a young girl of a working mom and dad, I learned how to get in the kitchen and help make meals or make them all myself. It was something I felt drawn to, not something I dreaded. My mother was an outstanding cook and gracious hostess. I learned so much from her while watching her in action. Then, after eight years of an undiagnosed gastrointestinal disease and marrying a Type 1 Diabetic, I learned how to bring more balance to an inflamed body and how to cook for auto-immune diseases. I love nourishing my family and want to offer real food, full-bodied, and nourishing recipes for you and your family, too.
